Oh Ahmad
There is nothing I can do or say
to prevent your intentionto blow yourself up with those you hate. But I would like you to know anyway that at the end of your last prayer when you turn your head to the right and say asalâmu ‘alâykum wa râhmat u-llah wa-barakâtuhu you have greeted me too as I am there, right beside you with the whole of Mankind because your Lord is my breath Then, when you turn your head to the left and repeat for the last time asalâmu ‘alâykum wa râhmat u-llah wa-barakâtuhu I am there too, with the whole universe because everywhere you turn there is His face and your Lord is my breath Even when your hands and forehead touch the ground and you say to your Lord with a deep sense of fulfilment Hu we are all there right beneath you with our foreheads and hands and knees and toes touching yours from the ground. So, just before you press the button with your call Akbar know that we are always between you and your Lord because He is our breath
Narda Azaria Dalgleish – 2002 and 17 October 2004
I live in this old mill Town called Hawick, pronounced Hoik, the largest in the Scottish Borders. |
A Letter to the United Nations October 26th 2006 “…the earth, globally, is one language with a few words.” “…there is but one nation and one language to all.” Gen.11; 1,6 In the name of Love – the highest collective factor – greetings to the ambassadors of the United Nations and the people as yet unrepresented A year or so after 9/11, when the world was still stirred, looking to understand the causes and express its diverse response, it was a surprise to find that I was afraid. Apprehensive even about disclosing my nationality to people, as for a while Israel was held directly responsible. I never took part in a public protest or a rally. I wondered what might it be like to find a response which is not caused by fear or a partial standpoint for or against something… Were I to sit face to face with one of the suicide bombers, what would I see? What shall I say to him? The poem ‘Oh Ahmad’ was conceived then, and because it was addressed to his essential being, the name ‘Ahmad’ was chosen for its reference to the Divine Name, the most Superlatively Praised. In early October 2004, exactly 17 years after I came to the United Kingdom to study and contemplate the Unity of Mankind, ( The Beshara School ) my son, Rotem Moria, was blown-up by Al-Qaeda in Sinai… By a supernatural act of grace at the moment of hearing the news, aside from the shock and pain of grief, I was spared of any reaction of hate, anger, vengeance or blame… I was engulfed at once by a presence of Love holding me in a formidable state of affirmation that it, alone, is Real; that it, alone, is the cause and aim of all faith, devotion, hope and belief misguided though they may be. In the midst of terror, in stark contrast to the situation, this oneness of Love stripped away the illusion of the polarity of all contraries and united them in the vision that it, itself, is the single indivisible Identity of all things and all people, including that of a son, his murderer and their mothers. I began writing overnight… It seemed there is nothing the human heart could love more than to be held in the ‘eye’ of Love… and far better, if it could be to Love like a finger is to the hand; moving in concert by its movement… Likewise, it seemed that there is nothing that Love itself loves more than to magnify a heart beyond its limited self-determination, and bring it ever closer into its – Love’s – own infinitely expanding dimension. And so it should be… where, other than the human heart, could Love, the Real, be witnessed and testified? Why should I be sending this letter to you? I don’t know… I am not on a mission to change the world, and even if I were, I’d be the least qualified. I talk to people about Love… that I’m moved to make myself available for something without knowing what it might be. Recently, a few people involved with the work of the UN came, one of whom suggested this letter. So here, in the spirit of J.F. Kennedy’s proposition, may I ask the people of the United Nations ‘united for a better world’, ‘is there anything I can do for you’ in service of the vision which promotes our unity? With love Narda Azaria Dalgleish |

A Modern Vernacular of OneSelf Do we mean by our ‘self’ the One Self? Whilst most human pain and suffering are rooted in the greatest blind-spot namely, self-existence, to know our Self is a joyful service to the Self of our Era… Please write/contribute original short articles/stories, from whichever relevant angle. |
“Our problems are manmade… therefore, they can be solved by man. And man can be as big as he wants. No problem of human destiny is beyond human beings. Man’s reason and spirit have often solved the seemingly unsolvable… and we believe they can do it again.” President Kennedy’s commencement address at American University, June 10, 1963 |

@ Dear William
Thank you for your invitation and your kind thoughts. Whilst I hold the education of the heart as the formost priority today, I consider myself a student till my breath expires … really.. why dont you join In The Eye of the Hand Poetry and post your song (s) there..
@Dearest Frank, please bear with me, I shall write to you directly soon…
@Hu Azim
I am delighted to hear of people’s response and of your new plans you’ve forwarded to me, it sounds wonderful. When you’ll get your images ready to your satisfaction they will have to be saved in photoshop on 72 resolution then posted onto the page… I’ll help when you’re ready.
In the mean time may I suggest you join WiserConnections and introduce yourself and your work there. It’s really a kind of a welcome initiation for newcomers with some instructions as to how to start, join groups and discussions… My view is that the most important key is to open yourself and what you do on your profile page so people know something about the person they are connecting with. I would also suggest to show a clear 🙂 face on your avatar…
Then, on the top right handside of your dashboard there is a module saying – people you may know – you can try and invite people to your network once you’ve completed your profile.
Much love and a happy 2010 to all
Narda

Hu Narda, I am not sure how to network to get more people on ‘Azim Looker Picture Gallery”….I have sent invites by email but group remains static at 5 members? I can’t put best paintings on bulletin boards either, until I get an original disc for this computer when I can use iPhotos to increase contrast and colour saturation of photos (unedited very washed out or dark). Can you help me make connections to other groups or tell me how to do it? Please? You are doing a fantastic amount of work…so many groups! And so many have no idea something like Beshara exists at all…the reaction when I tell people or send a link is absolute amazement that something many people looked for all their lives DOES exist (many believed that what they had ‘seen’ an intuitive idea, actually wasn’t in this world yet… Much love to you. ‘Azim. |

Hi Narda! Many thanks for the your invitation to join your network. I hesitated for a quite awhile because I am intimidated by all of the fine work you are doing and trying to read all of your postings on WE. I’ll do my best to keep up.
Blessings to you and all your works, Frank |

Dear Narda: you and your work are greatly appreciated by me, because you are “a breach repairer” proclaiming peace thru our re-evaluation of personal life purpose. I myself found it hard to establish a reliable (and easy to get back to) chat forum, so I created www.loverevolution2.ning.com as a mutual inspiration sharing site. Please offer some of your wonderful wisdom to that web site, so others can gleen the true love that resides within you as an educater. I am a Devout Christian; but sincere and true Love for God and Man (like you I think), is my desire to prove that most blessed love thru my actions offered unto others daily. I am a musician song writer here in Las Vegas,Nevada, and being well educated WE member. I want to try and send you a song I wrote, in hope that it will add unto your blessed life. Sincerely W.Leland Luster.12/22/2009http://www.wiserearth.org/uploads/user/leland1/med_nati2x.jpg” alt=”” /> I couldn’t send the song, oh well bless you anyway LOL.

Sorry Onyango
yes, why not? I was really talking about a new kind of education which we all need today… by unlearning I meant a real method of enquiry and questioning touching upon all our presumptions about ourselves and about life…
I really know very little about Uganda but hear that though there are still problems in the north things are generally improving… I only setup the Uganda project group but it will have to have contributions from those who know more about it… but perhaps we talk about it more in the new year.
In the mean time happy Christmas to you your family and all the children under your care
with love

Narda really, the focus to develop our community and empowerment of the young people will help to create something new to their mind and as well learning of life in the world. Young people have to know how they will stand for their living in the future, opportunities in life of every human are limited ” so why not help them use their opportunities to have a brighter tomorrow”.

@Patrick, thank you, an ethnobiologist researcher sounds like a very interesting job! you must be delighted…
@thanks Po-Yi, it is said that whatever you see in others is already in you, mirrored back… 🙂
@kenno… well, perhaps our children need to learn from you… there was nothing wrong with your communities before you started learning from ‘us’… perhaps its time that we all start ‘unlearning’…. |

Hi! Narda,

Tola, thank you for a great inexhaustible question… so just briefly…
Unless what is meant by God is perceived and communicated from the presence of oneness itself as its sole context, i’m quite lost… i simply have not a clue… the god-s of my beliefs (not only in religion, but in every sector) is not only a hindrance to a unifying and unified vision but is the cause of harm i inflict upon myself and the world as a matter of a daily impeded habit…
to come to a real understanding of the world and myself, i must establish first that my being and the being of everything else existing in the world is One and the same Being… Tola, do you understand what I am saying? is what i say clear?
I have an unprovable sense and hope that what is brought about in our era globally, is an unprecedented collective shift in our consciousness which goes far beyond dogmas and beliefs… to be a truly ‘religious’ person today is to be, as it were, a universal scientist… aspiring with sole preference to behold itself and the world with the Eye of the Universal …the Global…
if i knew myself and the world as one inseparable being, even for an instant, how could i possibly intentionally harm anyone without knowing that i harm the Self of all beings which is myself?
so, really, when i remember this i am inevitably a student… a beggar… 🙂
perhaps we can continue this as a discussion somewhere? perhaps in this group?
Can I See Myself and the World as One Self?

Narda, I am motivated by your letter. Can there be peace in the world if there is no peace in the Middle East? For how long will these suicide bombings continue? Is this deliberately designed by God that these senseless killings all over the world should continue? Otherwise, why is it that God has not answered our prayers concerning peace in the world? Since you are a Buddhist, is there a doctrine in Buddhism that says a person can kill a fellow human being for no cause other than misperception to enter heaven? Or worse still, for someone to blow up himself and others for hatred. I have not seen that in the Bible. Is killing in the name of God an acceptable doctrine in Islam? Can we have peace really? Are we not wasting our time fasting and praying for something that is beyond our control? Who knows the mind of God?
Narda, I want you to share with me the doctrines of Buddhism as I don’t know what is all about? We practise mainly Christianity, Islam and traditional religions here in Nigeria while the first two are recognised officially.

Great, Wendy, and thank YOU!
