Featured Groups: Learn the many ways you can customize your WiserEarth group to meet various goals and facilitate different types of collaboration.
A simple group focusing on the use of the discussion module and chatterbox with clear calls to action/participation. Good way of visualizing membership geography with the map module.
New Global Citizens Global Network
Three bulletin board modules, chatterbox, and members module, plus a video and some custom HTML results in a clean homepage. Putting things as sub-pages also helps create the simplicity.
Ad hoc group created immediately after this natural disaster. Focuses on latest updates from the ground and ways to help. Clever use of the news module to automatically stream in RSS updates from Twitter, Google News, YouTube and Truveo.
Good example of ‘halves’ layout (as opposed to ‘thirds’ layout). Page-wide header image and links to the “see all” pages of the various modules creates an easy to navigate group page. Good use of the solutions module as a database of projects and work done by the organization in various communities.
A group making good use of custom HTML in a bulletin board module with clear pointers for action/participation. Focusing on forging connection between members and enabling easy sharing of members’ knowledge.
Custom HTML in a bulletin board placed on top and clear calls for participation linking to content creation pages. Good use of organizations module to list more than 500 participating organizations. Integrating the group page and database with their main website using WiserEarth iFrame option.
