About me
Mainsah Gilbert is a photographer, videogramme producer and webmaster. Working for a self initiated institution MAGISHA VISION specialized in the production of video and picture documentations.
As the technical director of NORSR an association of researchers in community development, youth and women empowerment has been working in different fields to promote community development especially through the use of the pictures, videos and the computer technologies.
Our objective is to introduce the image of our communities (economic, cultural, touristic and development information) to the whole world.
In Africa, Information circulates from mouth to ear. That is why it is at time very difficult for a foreigner to know if the information given to him is true or false. At times with the absence of concrete and true information false information is given that will only privileged the egoistic interest.
Put at the disposal of the general public a concrete Internet Guide with the essential information about their communities that can help assist in community development and member applied learning. In general we want to put in place a database having all information about the communities.
We work with communities, individuals, and organizations around the world to empower people to determine for themselves what technologies work and what do not. We also work to develop not just technologies but also in creating documentaries (written, video or picture) that help people to maintain and create development skills in communities, organizations and the civil society.
It all started in 2007 after the Ngonnso Cultural week (Ngonnso in Bui Division, NW Region Cameroon) when we posted our pictures on the internet and the high demand for more information about the Nso community by most of the internautes. We started with a blog and we were happy with the number of internautes per day.
Today we are creating websites, which will be having links to other websites and blogs of most of our communities’ information. Judging from the reactions of most of the internautes after we closed our blog we are having many who are interested and need more information about our communities. For this reason we shall be doing something more professional and to reach all our communities
We hope that with our rich and referential quality of information, these websites shall be references for the development of the various communities. Especially these websites shall be among the Top 10 in the research engines with research with a name of any of the various communities.
