About
Combine the statement "If you want peace work for social justice" with the statement "I look to the diffusion of light and education as the resource most to be relied on for ameliorating the condition, promoting the virtue, and advancing the happiness of man," and that's who I am.
The earth has a spirit and all life functions through grace. We must tap into that grace and live in peace with earth's spirit.

Thought of the day- Is society witnessing a new counterculture? I'm beginning to hear in popular media about the "green revolution." Most things I see in the popular media can be chalked up to fads and trends, but is this movement different? If so, how? In what ways is our push to social and environmental justice different than a trend or cultural fad?

I've figured out my dilemma with the majority of current economists. They constantly want the economy to grow and when it doesn't grow at a higher rate they become worried. If the economy shows only "2%" of growth versus 7% of growth in GDP then something is wrong. See, the problem is they trap themselves in this line of reason and through this trap they force a mindset on us that in order for the United States to become strong the economy must grow, grow, grow. The problem with that is that as the economy's GDP so to does our society's need to consume things. For it's only through consumption that growth in GDP can be increased, and that my friends is the last thing a this society needs, to consume more material things.
