About the organisation: The Tropical Research & Conservation Centre is a non-government organization that promotes environmental researches and land resources conservation. It started since 2002 and came into existence as a result of the founder’s interest in conservation of natural resources which include land, soil, water and forest.MISION: Sustainable Agricultural production and conservation of environmental resources for improved community livelihood.Objectives of the organisation:·                     Promoting researches that will lead to conservation of natural resources. ·                     Educate rural communities, farmers, and the general public on Environmental, Economic, Social, ecological and cultural needs for conservation of natural resources and the basic skills and measures for conserving them.·                     Developing pilot projects with farmers and rural communities that will help in the conservation of natural resources e g. Tree planting projects, agro-forestry, soil management, especially in agricultural degraded areas, and community forest conservation. ·                     Developing economic activities (Projects) with farmers and rural communities that will help improve their standard of living e.g. bee keeping, snail rearing etc.
