I founded the Traces of Eden Foundation in 2001. It was a lifelong dream of mine to photographically document the beauty and diversity of our biosphere and to use the images to evoke appreciation for the incredible planet we have and could (and will) loose if we do not change our environmentally indifferent lifestyles. Since 2001 the Foundation and I have published 3 books on biodiversity, conservation, history, and anthropology. I also present my work and my philosophy wherever there is an audience.

I keep fighting for (and visualizing) a world in which efficiency, conservation, moderation, renewal, and innovation are family values we inculcate in our kids and pillars of business models that our economy will rest on. Some of us are already living in that world. But there is a lot to be done and that's why we must keep fighting.
