I first came to know Paul Hawken by watching his talk at the Long Now Foundation on the long green. It was a talk that gave one much insight into the future of the green movement. Before that, I was an avid reader of Worldchanging.com, a blog that brings much inspiration for a better understanding of our situation and a comprehensive review of tools and ideas available to make a sustainable future possible. It was these people who really opened my horizen and reframed my thinking on many of the big challenges of our time.
More recently, I work on a project called "TEDtoChina", which is what the name says, to bring in fresh insights from other corners of the globe to the Chinese readers. Ideas matter. Ideas are the source of innovation and transformations. I hope voices like WiserEarth can be heard by a much broader audience and from there, constructive conversations built, and action plans for a better future entails.
