About
I am an organisational psychologist with a business called Awake, which specialises in identifying and developing the psychological elements of sustainable behaviour.
After working for 12 years in the field of organisational culture change, I recognised that the most pressing need for behaviour change is in the area of sustainability, so have turned my attention to developing ways of stimulating people's psychological capacity for making sustainable decisions.
After completing a thorough review of the research into the psychological determinants of sustainable behaviour, I have developed workshops focused on creating behaviour change, as well as training for sustainability advocates who seek to promote behaviour change. I have found that it is an area somewhat lacking in attention - there is a lot of effort going into providing the infrastructure and incentives to make it easier to be green, which is important, but very little direct effort applied to the softer stuff around changing the way we live our lives. Feel free to check out my work at awake dot com dot au
