I live in Victoria and have a specific interest in gaining knowledge of the marsupials that still inhabit the Wombat State forest. Especially the tiger Quoll. From what i've read it seems that the last survey done of tiger quoll numbers around the macedon ranges was 1991. Two specimens were supposedly trapped then around mount macedon. My train of thought is that with a healthy wilderness corridor existing between Mount Macedon and the Wombat state forest the tiger quolls may inhabit lederderg gorge as well. If anybody has any information about this id be very interested to hear about it.
