About
I am Hannah, researcher, scientist, photographer. There are so many things I would like to be involved with that sometimes I become very sad that I do not have more than the usual 24hrs a day at hand.
I am convinced that it is neither science, nor politics alone which will be able to tackle climate change. I believe that you I, he and she will need to be convinced, involved and active so that we will move towards a sustainable future for Planet Earth. This is why I focus much of my spare time in combining research with arts. Because art touches the minds and hearts of many more people than scientific results alone are able to.
Besides my job as a researcher at the Potsdam Institute of Climate Impact Research I am running TheCompensators*, a not for profit association which is involved in fixing EU ETS, so that CO2 finally becomes a price high enough to make climate friendly technologies competitive.

One other activity is to raise awareness about climate change to a broad public, because the topic climate change has long enough been a topic dicussed by the scientific elite only. Every individual should become aware of climate change, possible impacts, and ways of tackling the problem.
In order to raise awareness TheCompensators* have started a contest about possible futures of Planet Earth. We want to collect pieces of art which reflect individual ideas. The submission we reveive will be exhibited in a moving exhibition to touch as many minds and hearts as possible.
One more activity I am running is ClimateChangeMessengers*, a photography project where I collect persons and their individual messages regarding climate change. I have already collected more than 100 individual messages. I'd be glad to have this gallery grow and invite everybody to supply his/her own message.
Information about all the activities I have posted in events/organizations/resources. I'd be glad if you join!
