My name is Sheryl and I live in the San Juan Islands off the coast of Washington State.  I am a junior at Oregon State University E-Campus completing my degree in Natural Resource Management and Policy.  As I live on an island, I am currently unable to gain work experience or acquire an internship in my field but in the future, I wish to work for a non-profit organization such as the NRDC.  (I would be willing to commute to the mainland one or two days a week if I could find an organization that would accommodate my situation!)  I have worked for many non-profits in the past, such as Farestart and Planned Parenthood in Seattle and they all work to implement real change in the local and global arena.

I also plan on attending Graduate school to work towards a Master's in my field...right now, I am interested in the U of Manoa and the UC at Santa Barbara.  But who knows what the future may bring!

Basically, I am passionate about land use, wildlife preservation, and climate change...
