I joined the Packard Foundation after a career of Human Resources work mostly at Wells Fargo. I appreciate my experience there at a company going from good to great. At the Packard Foundation guided by the business philosophy and values of our Founders, we invest in and take smart risks with innovative people and organizations to improve the lives of children, enable the creative pursuit of science, advance reproductive health, and conserve and restore earth's natural systems.

The Foundation has a grantmaking budget of approximately $266 million for 2007.

My work at the Foundation, in addition to HR, is to look after our Organizational Effectiveness and Philanthropy Funds which seek to strengthen the organizational effectiveness of grantee organizations, provide program-related investments to further program goals and objectives, and improve the practice of philanthropy. I also manage a team that looks after the grants directed by our Trustees (Special Opportunities) and the President's Fund.
