About
I have been a therapist for over 20 years. I developed a technique of working with people that is not disease or dysfunctional based. It is developmentally and growth based. About 25 years ago people realized you could not really seperate individual consciousness from the families, communities, and cultures in which they are embedded. My interest is now in how individual consciousness and community interact. From this I started working in community development and helped found Joyful Being community. This organization is building community around helping individuals feel alive and connected and increasing the love, joy, peace, wisdom, compassion, tolerance, health, beauty, and humor in the world. Our main areas of focus are open spirituality, nature and earth harmony, social justice and community, and the personal journey. It is too much to explain here but our web site is www.joyfulbeing.org. We are very similar to wiserearth in intention and the way we work but our focus is building local community with all the elements found on wiserearthintegrated into actual communities. We are trying to do with geography what you have done on the net. If you are interested in building community on the most local scale possible you can e-mail me at abwsoulwork@bellsouth.net.
