EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND:

Training: 1988- I was trained as a Water, Environmental, Health and Sanitation courses in Ministry of Water and resources natural development and the Kenya Medical college and graduated in industrial area Training courses at Nairobi . Also I graduated in the social work management development, biotechnology and economic, social and cultural rights.

Secondary Education: 1987, Narati Secondary School, Kenya Certificate of Education (KCE), Division 3.

  Primary Education: 1983, Narati Primary School-Bungoma. Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE).


WORKING EXPERIENCE:

Two years in working Ministry of water in 1989-1990.

In 1991 I joined ISAIACO Company for 2 years of Road repair and maintenance.

After that I left the work and joined Sher Agencies Ltd as Clerk dispensary in Naivasha for about one and half years.

I joined the Family Planning Association in Nakuru as social workers, working in the Nakuru and Naivasha districts. I was trained in Counseling, puppety shows, HIV awareness, distributing condoms, home based care etc.

At the same time I was networking with SIMA Community based organization in Kitale as the one of their members and also with the Kenya AIDS NGOs Consortium KANCO.

After leaving I came back to Kitale and worked as coordinator.

In early 1997 I worked with different local NGOs, National NGOs and Internationally as in Networking.

KANCO and Global strategies for HIV Prevention organized the first integrated Training Workshop for community-Based Health Care workers in Mbagathi-Nairobi in 1999.

From there I started to go to different Conferences and seminars in various places.

In march 25-31, 2001 I completed the second integrated Training workshop for Community -Based Health care workers held at the Reef Hotel-Mombasa city with the same NGOs.

After completing Training I started to expand our Networks and on 18-29 June 2001, I participated in the Training of Trainers Course in Counseling and Will writing skills, conducted at Eland Motel Arusha- Tanzania, organized by the AIDS NGOs Network in EAST- AFRICA (ANNEA), Grace International, UNAIDS, WHO.

In September 2001, I joined the International Humanist Movement, which is involved with Education, Health and Infrastructure in the communities.

Since then I have been working to develop projects in the Trans Nzoia District.

In March 2001 I learned of Mr. T.E. Manning’s work on self-financing integrated development concepts and contacted him with a view to setting a project application up in my area of origin.


Other Requisite Competencies:

I have designed, adapted and tested a training programmes (as shown above) for use by Community Development Programmes working with both urban and rural communities. These programmes are in use in Kenya , Uganda , Sudan , Rwanda and Tanzania .

I have extensive working experience with rural communities in Kenya , Sudan and greater Eastern Africa under very remote and challenging conditions in various fields.

I have wide experience in the Training of Trainers and substantial expertise in the training of middle level field management staff and professional grade departmental staff at the local, national and regional levels.

I have conducted Strategic Planning and Strategic Management Reviews for senior staff, Management and boards of a number of organizations in Kenya and Sudan

I have conducted a number of community needs assessment exercises and written start-up proposals for a number of CBOs and NGOs.

I have developed a Micro Enterprise Development Proposal, with Policies and Procedures for ADRA - Kenya .

I have conducted Training on CBOs Management for local and external organizations.

I was trained as a consultant /Health trainer with the ministry of Environment and natural resources and graduated in industrial area Nairobi .I designed management monitoring and evaluating projects in the community e.g. HIV/AIDS/TB programs, education training, environment/Sanitation, studies research, and culture studies and Information and Communication Technology and Biotech and Computer literally.


2003-2004 Activities and Experience

I collaborate with partners, Organizations, Universities, government and companies through networking. I am a member of IBC life science, European Federation Biotechnology, Drug discovery Technology, TAU, Water Supply and Sanitation Collaborative Council (WSSCC), and SIGRA. I received award of disease prevention /education (STD/HIVAIDS) program in third annual pharmaceutical achievement awards MA Boston; on August 8th 2004. I am a member and agent of Young European Biotech Network and also formed Young Africa Biotech Network, being an affiliation of Young European Biotech Network (YEBN). We also partners with Grassroots Alliance for Community Education (G.R.A.C.E), and Lucress & Dick Watson Children Foundation.

I am also consultant, sales and marketing in East and Central Africa.

Currently we have project in Kenya and Southern Sudan.
