I work at the Arava institute for Environmental Studies. I travel between Jordan and Israel and some of the Palestinian areas for my work. I believe that working together on shared environmental issues is an excellent way to develop the trust needed to talk about the very difficult and complex issues involved in the conflict in this part of the Middle East. I am studying Conflict resolution, transformation and peacebuilding and I work with a network of fabulous alumni of the institute from all over who are dedicated to making this world a better place.  They are amazing and inspiring people. People learning from nature that there are no boundaries. We have to hoonor diversity and ecological systems in the natural world as well as the cultural and religious beliefs of human groups, but we have to work together to keep our earth safe and healthy. Most important is people need to be heard. We need to learn to listen with compassion and an open mind - not to agree, or even accept everything the other says as true - but to listen and consider new ideas and thoughts.
