As an organisation, the Institute of Island Studies concerns itself with all aspects of human development on small islands but especially the interaction of humans with our supporting ecosystems, which on islands are relatively limited and vulnerable.

I run the Hunter-Clyde Watershed Group www.isn.net/hcwg and Trees In Trust www.TreesInTrust.com . I've just launched Trees In Trust, an organisation to save old-growth forest across the world by greatly improving the ability of Land Trusts to raise funds.
