Since the late nineties I have been involved in one way or another with
rural development in Latin America.
I began my work in rural development with CSU Monterey Bay Social and
Behavioral Sciences Department until 2001.
Following that I have been involved with the Northern California Biodynamics
Association in 2003.
After which I have involved myself as a volunteer and designer on several
projects in the Americas from the South of Chile to outside of Fairbanks
Alaska.
In 2005, I attended a permaculture design course in Nicaragua. Which involved me with more substantial
projects in the Central American
region. Some of which include; working
with the Peace Corps building bio-gas digesters in Honduras; helping with rural
environmental health trainings, forest preservation, water issues, latrine
building and sustainable economies in the Rio Negro Region of Nicaragua.
In 2006, I co-founded Finca Montesano pilot permaculture farm, education
center and reforestation project in Chontales Nicaragua.
In 2007, I completed a master’s study in Systems Design and Culture from
Politecnico di Torino, studying with Gunter Pauli and affiliated Zero Emissions
Research and Initiatives Professors.
In 2008, I have been working in the Southern California region with an
Industrial Hygiene firm. Working on a very diverse set of environmental
issues from ground water pollution with Hexavalent Chromium to indoor air
quality testing, to combustible dust monitoring in industry. As well as
continuing with work with the Finca Montesano project in Nicaragua.
