Peace peoples!

Born and raised in Oakland, CA, I've spent 3 of the last 4 years traveling internationally, both as a student and wanderer. My interest in Earth care was stoked first as a traveler, experiencing rural lifestyles of central america, australia and southeast asia, and now rooting back into my home of California, where I interned with the Esalen Farm and Garden for several months last winter. I spent this summer in northern California, producing lots of music (see below), gardening, and falling in love.

My girlfriend Leticia and I are now designing a project to visit many community projects throughout Latin America, traveling overland in a solar motorhome, and documenting the communities in an interactive website, as well as short film, community travel guide, and magazine articles. I will be posting more information on this project soon, as we are looking to make more connections and collect ideas.........one specific need is to find a non profit organization to be our fiscal sponsor, and allow us to receive tax deductible donations and grant money. like i said....more to come soon!

I am interested in energy, in life force, in evolution of consciousness, moving away from dis-ease towards health, discord towards harmony, fragments towards wholes, in the healing process of the Earth: all peoples and all natural systems, in moving towards equality and justice, in expression of life through art, in connection and re-union, in expanding imagination beyond all limits, in exploring the human body, in transcendence and immanence.

Music is my first love, my inhale and my exhale. .........my first and deepest conscious connection to spirit, through music. As i see it, my work as a musician is really to keep the channel clear, so that universe can express through me......music for meditation, exploration, communication, celebration.......I want to play music that is transformative, provoking and healing. Music is a bridge to anywhere....

Recently finished work on the soundtrack for my brother's Hip Hop Theater show entitled 'Free Land.' Here's a description:

The show follows a young white man’s search for his roots as it takes him from the streets of Oakland to the prairies of Wyoming on an unforgettable journey into the heart of American history. During an interview with his grandfather he learns that their beloved family ranch was actually a Homestead, a free land grant from the government. Haunted by the past, he’s compelled to dig deeper into the history of the land, only to come face to face with the legacy of theft and genocide in the Wild Wild West. Caught between the romantic cowboy tales of his childhood and the devastating reality of what he learns, he grapples with the contradictions in his own life and the possibility for justice and reconciliation. Free Land weaves spoken word poetry, acting, dance and hip hop music into a compelling performance that challenges us to take an unflinching look at the truth buried in the land beneath our feet.

Another recent project is working with filmmaker Lucie Schwartz, who is using my music as soundtrack to her 25 minute film about pro-anorexia blogs in France, and the current legislative push to criminalize these blogs.
