About

I am the co-founder and a principal in Sustainnovation, a sustainability consulting firm focused on enabling businesses to adopt sustainable practices. Prior to starting the firm, I was the CEO of Recyclaholics, a sustainable packaging company focused on the use of agricultural-based packages, food service ware, bags vs. petro-chemical - based materials.

I moved to Northern Massachusetts, USA after living in Jakarta, Indonesia for two years with my wife. We were teachers at NJIS and loved our experience: beautiful kids, wonderful people and school and an awe-inspiring beauty in the country of Indonesia. The developing world in SE Asia is an educational adventure. A large portion of the world population is living in close quarters, adopting western habits of consumption and expanding at a dizzying pace. Upon re-entry to the US, so much of what I took for granted I now see as wonderful (air, natural resources, freedoms). In addition, I am now willing to actively speak out and take action in every corner albeit political, community, human interaction, etc.

For the list of my areas of focus, I found that as I went through the list, I voted in every category for what I believed in. This is a great list as it helped me to define what I find interesting and what I want to work on as I re-define my role in the sustainable economy anew!

I look forward to meeting other like-minded new friends.
Cheers,
Rob
