About
Bob McEwan has been in health care for over 30 years starting in the 70's with 18 years of scientific basic discovery research in transplantation, C-type viruses and Cancer. He then moved from pharmaceutical research to sales with the Upjohn company and later Roche Laboratories. Bob joined the Johns Hopkins Comprehensive Transplant Center in 1996 in outreach and marketing and was made administrative director in 1999. He started the nonprofit, MEDBANK of Maryland, Inc. in 1999 and now after ten years, has helped over 40,000 patients receive over $120M in free medications. He remains interested in public health research, advocacy for the underserved and healthcare IT solutions.
