About

I am 45 years old I own 20 acres wich I call my wood lab I have wrote and been involvesd in raising awreness of the need for better forest practices rforest policey reform.I work in the woods and the waste and atrocities are wearing me down.the burn piles that polute the air are full of a useable fibre did you know that wood fiber tonne will make 200 litres of wood alcohol the pulp is thrown into piles the no.2 sawlog goes for pulp and the prime wood is exported if the public seen how bad the air is around here when they burn....It is hard to brathe totally unacceptable I used to build log homes but basically I had a real hard time getting fiber because of the letters I wrote to the ministry and the local papers ruffled some feathers I have been through the hardship when a corpoate giant walks out of a community it no longer finds desireable to use .It bothers me when trees are wasted that could of built a home or could sustain a family quality of life.Like I say I select log my firewood for cooking and heating I use cable logging becauce it does not damage or compact the soil as opposed to ground based skidding I am monitoring the effects of damage to stems by fire wind and mechanical means I am also seeing the benifits of coposting instead of burning.small scale and of my own effort but I have to try I am so glad to of found your site I hope I can be of use and find something I can do to contribute there is a better way and I want out of the rape and pillge mindset of the big ones destroying the earth and using me to acomplish there goals.I had given up but I am so glad I have found your siteI will be back to learn more and if you have some one to guide me to be more usefull and productive to the cause get them to e-mail me.I will take the mentoring and advice seriously.Randall rodger
