About
We’re starting a non-profit business called the Touchwood Project whose first goal is to help people who want a more sustainable lifestyle but don’t have the skills, time or energy to do it all on their own.
We plan to offer holidays and courses on the Orkney islands in Scotland that give people the know-how, confidence and connections to make changes in their personal life and the world.
Our second goal is to help Orkney and other communities become self-sufficient. That means projects like community gardens, renewable technology in houses and community buildings, and a close interaction between neighbours. All the profits from the tourism business will go to funding these community projects.
I used to be a web designer for social entrepreneurs and people who make the world a better place through their business, and still like to help out good groups with free advice when I can, so feel free to get in touch.

I was hoping you would come and wondered how your Touchwood Project is going since you started it a year ago? I also hoped you'd be the first to dare introducing yourself to the group and talk about your experience with this project... If you do, please, please, add some pictures of the place and the people... it does make such a difference.
