Building New Palestine

I am a Certified Permaculture Designer and LEED AP. My work currently centers on developing the Sustainability program at Amy's Organics, a vegetarian food manufacturer in the Bay Area, and consulting on architectural projects, both residential and commercial. The majority of my professional experience has focused on environmental sustainability consulting, project management, organizational change and personnel management.

My work at Amy's has included ecological analysis of supply chain, water and energy use and waste stream management and resources. In pioneering the position of Sustainability Coordinator, I also research, manage and report on projects concerning areas such as onsite wastewater processing, waste stream utilization opportunities, renewable energy and sustainability of packaging materials. In addition I give educational presentations and occasionally workshops concerning sustainability at Amy's and in the natural foods industry in general to stakeholders both internally and externally.

My consulting practice, Greenprint Sustainability Consulting has included work with the Mariposa Grove Community in Oakland, where I performed site analysis, and served as the point of contact for the permacultural design team that crafted the site development plan, and presented the final design to the community.

Other clients include Pech Merle Wine Services, a custom crush and barrel storage facility currently being designed the Dry Creek Valley area of Healdsburg. As the LEED AP member of the design team, my role is to facilitate integrated sustainable design across the multiple disciplines included in a new construction project, research the viability, availability and cost-effectiveness of sustainable design and construction practices and materials, and perform the documenting and calculation necessary to qualify the project for LEED certification.

My consulting practice also includes work with SF architecture firm Lundberg Design. Current projects entail research and screening of designers, materials and suppliers in the areas of building integrated photovoltaics and multi-functional aquatic systems capable of simultaneously providing a swimming environment, habitat regeneration, landscape and green roof irrigation and building cooling.

In my spare time I dabble in jewelry design, floral design, music production, dj'ing and photography.
