About

After a "Leave It To Beaver" childhood, I left the confines of my sheltered life and discovered that life outside "Pleasantville" (aka Saratoga, CA) was not so pleasant. Soon I felt I had gotten on the wrong planet by mistake.

From age 18 to 30, I was literally in a new place every year. I attended 5 colleges in 5 years, did lots of soul searching, read lots of books on personal development and spirituality, while writing songs along the way. I also traveled and performed throughout North America and Europe with the international, cultural program Up With People.

Years ago I went to Los Angeles with my first demo tape and actually got through the doors of music publishers and received encouraging feedback. But the publishers said that I had to write what I call "infatuation, co-dependent love song." I wasn't interested in that, so I decided to continue writing the music that mattered most to me and do my own thing.

In 1998, I released the first of 5 CDs on my own record label Googol Press. My songs often deal with posibilities, following one's own path, being true to one's self, and enjoying the company of friends and family.

In 2004, I co-founded the Positive Music Association, an international organzation of positive music artists who use music not only to entertain, but to make a positive difference in people's lives and on the planet. One of the main goals of the PMA is to make the Positive Music genre mainstream.

I'm also a life coach, a graphic designer, and author. I live with my Belgian wife Myriam, who keeps reminding me that they live in a real world, and our two teenage daughters who actually still love us. When the estrogen level in our home gets too much, our two male dogs and I go outside and pee on things. Ahhh, it's a good life.
