Hand -to Hand, the Kids Book Van is my project to encourage recycling and to foster literacy. I collect gently used children's books and carry them in my van to schools, pre-schools, daycares, and camps where I give free books to children from toddlers to 8th grade level. The children may choose from hundreds, a book to read, recycle or keep if desired. I encourage them to bring books to swap on subsequent visits.
