About

Independent and out of the box thinker and doer. Never took a job, always earned my way through, started 9 companies of which 2 went under. Influenced by the Club of Rome and a creative system thinker who believes that when you have to problem you must look for at least one other and solve both or more at the same time. Father of 2 wonderful sons Carl-Olaf and Laurenz-Frederik, and happily married with Katherina.

Author of books, but mainly proud of the series of 36 fables which bring over 1,500 scientific subjects to children over three years time. These fables permit the next generation to imagine a better society on the basis of what we have, responding to all the basic needs of all on Earth. The fables offer a solid scientific foundation, a fresh insight into emotional intelligence, an easy recourse to arts, a solid capacity to connect the most diverse phenomena and to desire to make things happen.

As founder of ZERI (Zero Emissions Research and Initiatives) in 1994 I put forward an uncompromising target ZERO WASTE and ZERO EMISSIONS, yet this target is self-evident. After all the only species on earth capable of producing something no one desires is the human species. Thanks to a network of scientists and a broad support from friends with the most diverse background the Foundation succeeded in pioneering over 50 projects around the world. These projects demonstrate that we cannot expect the Earth to produce more. We should do more with what the Earth already produces.

I am dedicated to education based on the principles "Reach - do not teach / Expose - do not impose". I love to learn more about innovations in science and the solutions nature has already invented millions of years ago without posing any risk to any of its fellow members of the system.
