About
Welcome!
The Order of Earth is a private non profit site, By Invitation Only! I request it be handled in the manner of a Confidential Communication - Private Business project. Our primary interest is to support the development of an Elderhood Platform for the Wisdom of Humanity in the long-term, and we are just starting the notion in real-time and pure-play. The deep rooted fundaments incorporated in the enclosed writing are based in new awareness arising in biological, physical, lingusitic, cosmological and cognitive sciences. The focus of The Order of Earth is to explore the design of a new organizational configuration that empowers individual realization-in-living while effectively addressing permanent human concerns in global solidarity. Our perspective is that humanity already always is fundamentally rooted is social realtionship, legitimacy-in-coexistence, and loving embrace of creation. Our sole primary focus presently is the Maka Si Tomni project with the Lakota People and Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota, USA. This project is in the public domain and we are launching a histroy-making event on June 25th 2008 at Little Big Horn National Monument. The enclosed monograph is approximately 11 pages.
The Order of Earth - a Clarion Call
"Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful,
committed citizens can change the world.
Indeed, it's the only thing that ever has."
Margaret Mead
Our Observation of Background Global Concerns:
The challenge to rebuilding a sustainable culture within a spirituality framework is to encounter the hard facts and reality at the heels of the 20th century. Over 200 million people were killed in wars, ethnic conflicts, and extermination camps, creating a psychic toll we have yet to even begin to understand. And there are indigenous people who are still suffering in the intra-generational trauma of generations. Prior to 1950 the concept of sustainability had little meaning to previous generations. In 1950 the idea of nuclear annihilation became a real possibility. And now any well-informed high school student can list ways in which humanity could cause their demise and realizes areas of human concerns that cannot continue if we are to survive as specie:
• Ongoing militarization of the planet along with the greed and hatred that feeds it must stop. An eventual Armageddon is an inevitable result of our current trajectory either by intent or accident. A large number of the world population lives in desperate poverty and have the power to disrupt the lives of those living in comfort, we witness this with the new level of aggression and violence: called the suicide bomber and 911. The United States now invests more capital in the military complex than the gross military capitalization of all other nations combined. It is insane in face of the immediate need for investment in research & development. The future projections artists have depicted on the Hollywood screen is a reflection of us living in a future between the “Terminator” and the “Matrix.” We are scaring the children into suicide and we can and will change this current reality.
• The global population explosion is a perpetual enlargement of the human estate that cannot be sustained because it will eventually overwhelm the capacity and fecundity of natural systems and cycles. This does not take into consideration the ignorance and lack of knowledge we currently have regarding the biosphere, ecology and biological diversity. The proposition that living on earth and being human is a right to live without restraint is wrongheaded. Humans have become a plague on earth and will extinguish themselves by not learning that conservation is a basic fundament to their biological, spiritual, living processes. Humans must awaken to the fundamental reality of caring and loving through responsibility for every action taken in their doing and the interconnectedness and interdependencies of one coherent family of man that includes rocks, land, water, plants and aninals.
• The unrestrained development of any and all technology without assessing the risks and adversity we create only in hindsight is suicide. An example, the nuclear development programs starting in the 50’s promised inexpensive generation of electricity and yet we burden future generations with containment and management of the waste for thousands of years. The examples of industrial and capitalistic design flaws are too many to entertain in this introduction and embedded in every process, standard practice and lifestyle that has emerged in modernity. The birthing of “The Next Industrial Revolution” is of primary importance now where the eco-efficiency “waste equals food” is the fundament for design of every process, lifestyle and standard practice of global civilization.
• The ever-expanding creation of economic, financial, and technological complexity is overwhelming our capacity to manage it. Leadership is in a mood of resignation exibiting denial, cynicsim and hypocrisy. Globalization of markets and a centralized capitalistic corporate plutocracy threatens democratic development and entrepreneurship within the world. The time has now arisen for individuals to reclaim their power and consciously choose and be responsible for the transactions they engage in within the context of an ecological footprint. This self-directed leadership transforms our current moods of resignation, despair, cynicism and invokes a new mood of confidence in taking effective actions as a joyful concern with in our daily living together.
• The regressive fundamentalisms of intense allegiances to ideology, or ethnicity divide our living together into narrow, exclusive and intense passions for power and control is destroying humanity's solidarity in meeting our current crisis. This perspective shuts off the possibility of having humor, compassion, forgiveness and the wisdom we need to save ourselves. We are capable and able as a human family to respect diversity and find convergent coherences in our living together in every domain of human activity. "Everything that rises must converge." We are at a moment in human history where the many evolutionary pathways of diverse cultures, units of humanity, will find their home in planetary consciousness.
• The unrestrained conspicuous consumption with mobility, hedonism, individualism is a perspective that focuses on taking rather than the spirit of give-a-way. As a consumer we either drink or drug ourselves out of awareness or we go shopping. Consumerism is the new post industrial religion: its god is economic growth; its priests are public policy makers who provide access to growth; its evangelists are the advertisers who display the products and try to convince us we cannot be happy without them; and the church is the shopping mall, Internet or Wal-Mart. The primal creed is “bigger is better” and “more is better” and “faster is better” and “you can have it all.” The doctrine of creation is that the earth is real estate to be bought and sold in the marketplace. Its doctrine of human existence is that we are skin-encapsulated egos, cut off from the world by the boundaries of our skin. And its doctrine of salvation is that we are saved – or made whole – not by grace through faith as Christians claim or by wisdom through letting go as Buddhists claim, but by appearance, affluence and marketable achievement. When we reframe this limited worldview we will shift the notion that taking care of our own children is the only responsible act and assume the responsibility of taking care of every child as if they were our own as fundament for humanity. We will witness the end of 30,000 children daily who die from starvation and value our living together in a new way of being.
• A spiritually impoverished consumer culture of meaningless, anomie, and despair is corroding our desire to sustain the earth and our belief that humanity is worth or capable of salvation. Genuine sustainability will come not from superficial consumer changes rather from a deeper process akin to humankind growing into a fuller stature of spiritual heritage and enactment in living together and rekindling the values of beauty, responsibility, freedom, justice, friendship and community. We can do this and the Wise-Earth network is an example of this spontaneous authentic emergence of spiritual activity throughout the world.
Means to Accomplish Our Vision:
The Order of Earth articles of incorporation outlines specific purposes in which the Order has set forth as definable objectives as a new configuration based in the wisdom of elderhood:
First, to witness and serve the Infinite Living Spirit in all life on earth. We recognize that as humans our common talent and ability is to reflect, observe, witness and absorb living experience. In this moment of human history, in the subjective reflection as an observer, we become aware that the opaqueness of matter has dissolved and man is less an isolated, Olympian, knowing principle than a being in which the universe in its evolution becomes conscious of itself.
The seminal biological work of Humberto Maturana and Francisco Verela point toward a new cosmology based on the "observer." A new possibility in the philosophy of science called "Structural Determinism" where the stardust of the universe is realized in the act of living in realization as an autopoietic living system. "The View from the Center of the Universe" by Joel Primack and Nacy Abrams explores our extraordinary place in the cosmos and the emerging New Summa of Living in Realization.
Living is an action of disclosing and revealing spiritual generative principle moment to moment. In the presence of momentariness we are more like the Monarch Butterfly rather than a master of the landscape we call the world. By stilling, listening, and empting our instrument of the mind we become a magical participant in which spirit plays us like a flute. The appearances of lack, limitation, disease and death we encounter are met with compassion, mindful awareness and skillful means that produces healing, creativity, transformation and self fulfillment within our identity and the whole of creation, as an autopoietic structure.
Our ancestral heritage is composed of: storytellers, artists, poets, musicians and dancers who have sung the songs praising the beauty of creation in freedom of soulful presence. Like the Monarch Butterfly we can traverse danger and terrorizing challenges beyond our comprehension when we listen to the unfolding cues the universe provides to us in our journey. This initial perspective is essential for the "interiorization of consciousness" to be awakened and for each individuated person to find his or her mission of service in living together on Earth. "The infinite living generative spirit is embodied in our flesh." The plasticity of human being nervous system and structure is beyond our comprehension and in the coming convergence old patterns will disappear like burnt paper before our very "eyes."
Second, to heal the earth and its people through the transformation of consciousness. We currently live in a dualistic culture that believes in two powers: good and evil, heaven and hell, science and religion, individual and collective, right and wrong, rich and poor, healthy and sick, life and death. We are now aware that we live in one universe with billions of galaxies and it is one omnipresent, omnipotent, omniscient universe interconnected and interdependent. There is only one power, one life, one light, one natural law not two. And this perfect order, harmony and wisdom is always already operating beyond all outward appearances. Our mission in this regard is to have no opposition or resistance to anything present, rather acknowledge and witness the inherent ultrastable dynamic generative energy within all life, thereby healing the emotional contradiction man has created in his recent modern history, and live in gratitude and reverence for all that is. Humanity has been hypnotized and mesmerized into a universal belief of two powers and this is a misinterpretation of reality, "an "observer" error. There is only one and this one infinite living spirit constitutes, sustains and maintains your being and all other sentient and insentient beings in the universe. There is just one power and we are one with it weather we like it or not. Our healing is the realization of living, itself, and being aware of our own awareness in a community of reflection from birth to death. The sacred and the profane become one expression of spirit in celebration with reverence, revelation and restoration in an age of activity.
Third, to provide leadership in spiritual research, exploration, education and organization. When we search philosophy, theology, and comparative religions we always end up rendezvousing with one infinite generative living spirit in all life, and now science is confirming this reality. There is a golden thread of truth that runs through every tradition, mythos and ritual that binds them together uniting all faith. As regressive fundamentalism continues to explode before us, and God is used as the source and authority of any and every belief system possible in a divisive, aggressive and violent manner it is essential to develop an understanding how dependent and common we are to one another. The glory of man beliefs, ritual practices and traditions have become the desolation of the earth. Our basic fundamental belief systems to interpret our human experience are now threatening humanity.
Our work is to ‘bring forth’ within the context of all human affairs, all professions, occupations and creation of man - a subjective intercommunion within the total range of reality - realization in living of the autopoietic paradox - isolated individuated universes connected to all of creation from the beginning. Within this context redemption rhetoric and scientific rhetoric can both be seen and a new integral languaging of being and values can emerge.. A new social being can emerge within humanity and disclose a contemplative culture where learning, research and innovation happens in the cycle of living from birth to death. If the molecular dynamics of the universe from the beginning shaped the course of the heavens, lighted the sun, and formed the earth – if the same dynamism brought forth the continents and seas and atmosphere, if it awakened life in the primordial cell and then brought man into being and guided him safely through a turbulent history - there is no reason to believe that this same guiding process is precisely what has awakened in man his present understanding of himself; his relation to this stupendous process; and is the guiding force within us in creating a new dimension of reality from our current breakdowns.
Fourth, to preserve and conserve the ancient wisdom teachings of the world’s religions, philosophies, sacred traditions and ritual practices within grounded scientific understandings and deep biological ecological awareness. We will find redemption in our biological origins. It took a couple of million years for the Homo Sapiens to arise and we were a social loving animal not an aggressive violent creature as modern sociology and psychology purports. Our ancestry sprung forth from living together in legitimacy-in-coexistence in the presence of all life. Patriarchy is a set of cultural distinctions that have arose over the last 8,000 years and has been passed from generation to generation: excluding, appropriating, and dominating. Patriarchy is not based in gender it is a languaging that has arisen in the co-structured standard practices of culture.
A new way of understanding value and ethics is required. The new Summa we intend to write is the Story of Living Systems and the Realization of the Living – Mankind. This new story points us towards an ecological age, social realization, where the trees are seen as our sisters and counted in our census as one of the living. "Whatever rises must converge." The wisdom of humanity contained in the poets, philosophers, teachers and shamans of all sacred traditions in the end converge into a beautiful tapestry of the human soul’s desire and intention for realization as a living creature within the web of life. Patriarchy has had reckless disregard for the goddess culture of a previous age and has extinguished indigenous cultures with a demand for obedience and self-negation. Our work is preserving and conserving the heritage and fundaments of the past, the very roots of our biological understanding and realization. Indigenous cultures are "spark-points" to recovering the deep rooted biological social loving animal and forever embrace the glory of every moment. Human's are based in a dynamic temporal architecture.
Fifth, to organize a new platform for Elders focused on cultural innovation in the 21st Century.
Throughout human history Elders have been a guiding light to innovation within our cultural social experience. The Taoist believes there are four stages in the journey of living: learner, householder, the forest (contemplative), and the Elder. After completing the task of the householder one moves to the forest to reflect upon one's life, realization in the moment, and any future mission as an elder. It is only when you have went to the forest and contemplated the journey and lessons, can one be prepared to participate in the give-away, the final gift to the community, and step forward in humble leadership as an Elder.
Churchill, an Elder, in 1940 came forth and spoke to the British people and said "Even though we have lost large tracks of Europe to Hitler, and our ships are being sunk to the Gulf of Mexico, we are going to fight. We are going to fight him on the seas, on the beaches, in the mountains and in the streets and we are going to win." This was an Elder raising his voice and vision, in the midst of hopelessness and despair. Operation Torch was organized and the allied invasion came about and Hitler was defeated. What kind of world would we be living in if this one voice had shrunk from its capacity to stand up and speak?
Our world today is hundredfold worse than 1940 our Elders have been silenced by the impact of the technological communication structure that has arisen in the world. The massive cultural adaptation breakdown that has arisen from this technological communication explosion has disrupted the very fabric of innate wisdom within human relations, traditions and cultures. The media pundits from within a valueless driven corporate plutocracy dominate the mass media with biased coverage of current state of affairs and TV is the mass opiate of a numb, blind, deaf and dumb modern culture, all in the name of entertainment. Human beings are in a state of self-deception and live like robots in a mechansized dream of wher to get the next fix for their attention. There are wise men and women in every culture who whisper the wisdom to the ears ready to hear and heal our human concerns.
Our aim is to build a platform for this collective elder wisdom and a channel for the voice of the few to the many. May we raise a collective voice of wise Elderhood in the world that their one voice sound a trumpet so loud the earth shakes beneath our feet and the charge of "Be Glorious" rings forth in every human heart. And with this invincible platform in place "Earth Nights" arise throughout the world with the weapons of insight and compassion. And with great courage and fortitude they fulfill the 1200-year-old Tibetan Shambhala Prophecy. They go into the heart of the barbarian power, into the pits, pockets and citadels where the weapons are kept, to dismantle them. What man has made in his mind can be unmade by the human mind. We can learn to dis-create! Earth Nights live in the realization that no extraterrestrial power, satanic deities or preordained evil fate have the power to visit the conditions we face. They live in the realization of being the source of every creation they experience. These outward creations, conditions and circumstances are generated from our own decisions, our own lifestyles, and our own social relationships. As Earth Nights take back their power of self-determination and responsibility they laugh, sing and dance as modern institutions curl up and disappear as burnt paper, and once again the earth is restored with reverence, revelation, recreation as a new day and a new way. "Remain true to yourselves, but move ever upward toward greater consciousness and greater love! At the summit you will find yourselves united with all those who from every direction, that have made the same ascent. For everything that rises must converge."
Sixth, to promote, disclose and facilitate entrepreneurship, democratic action and cultivation of solidarity among all people. Our mission is to take effective action in transformation of the world not to be engaged in abstract deep reflection, which is contrary to our purposes and based in argumentation of theories, philosophies and traditions. We submit that humans are at their best when they are intensely involved in changing the taken-for-granted everyday practices in some domain of their culture and that means they are making-history.
History-making in The Order of Earth is not about stopping war, feeding the hungry, overthrowing political regimes, or producing environmental intervention, rather to disclose and perpetuate history-making practices that impact our work, our citizenship, our cultural activities and values, and our everyday life.
There are major perils to history-making in Western society. One is the Cartesian tradition, which celebrates stepping back from everyday life to understand the world on the basis of rational deliberation. The Order of Earth advocates an intense involvement in the anomalies of everyday life as a means to understand the world and the changes it needs. The second is the neo-Nietzschea tendency to embrace radical, individual change for its own sake. Now that anyone can log on to the Internet to try on a new personality it becomes increasingly urgent that we retrieve our history-making skills, our capacity to care for our identity, conservation of history, both in everyday lives and in our public service.
Genuine entrepreneurs create historical change by producing a product/service that solicits people to change the style of their everyday activities and a company that instantiates the new way of life the product/service establishes a new view of living. This is a skill that can be learned and produces cultural innovation by shifting desire and values. To meet the objectives of our mission this vital learning will be at the core of individual transformation. In other words we do not offer a way out of the world or anyone’s current dilemma or situation, rather we produce the entrepreneurial skill necessary to invent, generate, coordinate a new dimension of reality within the anomaly one is embedded.
Political action in democratic natural capitalism is essential to the values and objectives The Order of Earth desires to bring forth. . Our concern is vividly underlined by the recent history of Eastern Europe, the Middle East, and the rise of multicultural pluralism in Western democracies that highlight the importance of clarifying our understanding of democracy. Democracy is being demanded in our global world, and understanding political action and the consequences of a civic social democracy, and the role of a virtuous citizen is important in transforming our culture and standard practices on earth. As the entrepreneur is effective in reconfiguring a practice within a culture by marketing a new product/service the virtuous citizen is an active participant in self-rule in a civic social democracy that seeks to create a social change in the politics of the community. The virtuous citizen is skillful in disclosing new values and social change with interpretation skills that speak to the human concerns of the community and as an identity builds coalitions with diverse organizations working toward a common good.
The problems we can observe in current political social action groups is fragmenting a civil social democracy by concentration on a single issue and it turns into a “scratching of each other backs.” This forms a bevy of elite lobbies to whom legislators pay disproportionate attention and serves the elite while the interest of the whole or nation suffers. These political action groups become so powerful that they spend their time fighting one another for resources and coalitions are built for the short-term and based on mere expediency. Virtuous citizens in a democracy want to change their lives, way of being, way of living, not regulations, we will foster learning for the virtuous citizen in how to effectively deal with their everyday coping that produces interpretive skill to disclose new political realities. It is a process of cultivating an identity, a new observer, which leads to solidarity in community and affects their worldhood over time in the act of history-making.
Customary solidarity celebrates and perpetuates the bundle of concerns citizens currently identify themselves with. As our societies become increasingly multicultural, concerned citizens find it more difficult to agree on the composition of this human concern bundle, and this leads to the breakdown of solidarity and to multiplicity of groups, each speaking for the objectified goods and values that it claims represents the essence of society. History-making solidarity of The Order of Earth is to speak to the larger set of concerns from many diverse groups who can accept the earth in reverence, revelation, restoration and recreation of values and practices. We are an institution dedicated to making-history with a broad development of solidarity between a diverse and polarized global culture. The history-making solidarity we seek to bring forth cross-appropriates, cross–fertilizes, rearticulates and reconfigures concerns from many to one: the earth, our home and friends - All Life.
Seventh, to invent and produce a management and communication system to coordinate the action and interaction of The Order of Earth. Radical and pervasive changes are happening in our world with increasing momentum. A renaissance in world commerce and trade is occurring, fueled by a technological revolution in communication, internationalization in the markets, market fragmentation and environmental, social and political concerns of societies worldwide. Changes in our work and private lives, new possibilities emerging in all domains of human concern, and increasing competition to learn and understand has produced a massive adaptational breakdown - prophesied by Alvin Toffler in "Future Shock," fifty years ago. Our world has changed; the rules, traditions, and ways of being are under severe challenge.
We live in a period of unprecedented change. Humanity is in the midst of creating a new civilization. Toffler describes three waves of civilization. The first wave was agriculture, the second wave industrialization and the third wave is a radically new communication structure and non-industrial wave built on sand (silicon), wire (optical) and air. While the knowledge landscape of previous generations was stable and changed little, knowledge is now doubling three times a decade. Confronted with all this new knowledge, technology and possibilities, the essential strategic question is how to design new structures and organizations that can thrive in the 21st century.
For previous generations, business and commerce were local in scope and slow to change. The world of commerce we live in today sees change happen instantly and globally. In response to these rapidly changing realities, everyone needs to learn how to be a designer. Design is a way of thinking that is concerned with inventing actions that open new opportunities while anticipating future breakdowns. Everyone within an organization can be empowered to design and make a difference all the time.
Leadership is a conversation addressing human concerns through coordinating actions with others and inventing new realities and identities within our human community. Phrased another way, this is a matter of inventing anew the games in which we participate. It is a conversation of we versus I, with a vision and mission to build and take care of our future as a community. Leaders read the world, and then sculpt the actions of others in language. They inspire others into new games and plays…. In addition, when masterful, into a new vision of the future. Barak Obama is demonstrating this skill in the current election and the world is calling it forth.
To create these new organizations of the future we need to shift the focus of management from objects, things and events to human communication and relationship. Every organization is a network of conversations. An organization starts with a declaration in language and proceeds to a network of commitment: requests and promises between governors and governed, employers and employees, and customers and vendors. No matter where you are, the language you speak is commitment. We need organizational simplicity that can cut deep into the assessment of modern complexity.
In the midst of chaos, confusion and breakdown the V3W (Velocity in the Third Wave) project mission within The Order of Earth is to produce a simplified organizational design based on being human and mastering the complexity around us. Our design incorporates human communication, interaction and coordination as the central feature of design. With this new interpretation and set of distinctions, organizations can be invented where humans flourish while simultaneously generating economic viability, creativity and productivity as a standard practice.
The V3W project will focus on inventing the technological infrastructure for the Order’s administration, management, operations, coalitions and projects, and simultaneously will be developed as an incubator for leaders to learn business design practices that bring forth “The Next Industrial Revolution” in their industry or service. V3W is a for profit limited liability company that intends to be a self-generating funding source for the financing of The Order of Earth’s mission long-term.
Eighth, to practice and promote contemplative reflection. Our view of our current delimea is stark yet contemplative reflection immediately brings peace to the current human concerns and connects us to an infinite living generative spirit in this Age of Activity. The future worldhood we envision is a peaceful setting that is contemplative from birth to death. A place where a person finds his home on earth and instead of reaching ever higher, expanding, mastering, one decides to reach inward and downward into their self and the contemplative practice of reverence, revelation and restoration.
The new frontier at the threshold of our existence is the interiorization of consciousness. The landscape is an eternal and infinite presence only available in our awareness of momentariness. As biological creators we are only alive in the present, and we are temporal, and it is part of our structure. It is possible to celebrate death in our journey as much as birth. Understanding and living within this constraint we can value deeply the actions we take and the world we build together with one another.
The stillness, silence, breath we experience can be taken in reverence, revelation, restoration and recreation. To have reverence for life and living one must be grateful for whatever one is given. It opens a state, mood of wonder and awe for every little step and act one makes or takes in the journey. It also opens up a new capacity to listen, feel, touch, smell and sense that reveals an intimacy with creation and living. Appreciation and revelation arises in our experience of living together and a new social being comes forth. In this contemplative practice our health and well-being is restored and there is rest and peace where we are. And we can work together on the restoration of our home, the earth.
Ninth, to network with existing organizations, institutions and systems in developing interdependencies, coherence of mission and effective actions addressing the joyful concern of planetary consciousness. Our objective is to build relationships with existing organizations, institutions and systems in a dynamic fashion and manner. The concerns we embody are not national or ethnic they are global and distratrous if not addressed. We have a choice to either experience a catastrophic collapse from exhausting our material basis, management of the complexity, or militarization of the planet, or gracefully awaken and begin working in an age of activity that is coherent and congruent with the natural laws and generative principles we share with all life. In short, it is time to grow up, today.
The spiritual renewal we envision to maintain is sustainability begins with humility and forgiveness. We must forgive the terrible wrongs at the heart of the bitter ethnic and national rivalries of past centuries and move on. No convergent logic or scientific solution will enable us to transcend the self-perpetuating hatreds and violence in the world today. You can start at home within your own family and move out from there to friends, associates and the general community. The only solution to this divergent problem is a profound sense of forgiveness and mercy that rises above the convergent logic of justice. The sin of ignorance is universal.
We are “upright mammalian weeds” and a robust spiritual sense may not mean that we are created in the image of God; it does offer the hope that we may grow into something more than a planetary plague. Our robust spirituality must help us go deeper to resolve our “terror of death” that haunts this social loving human animal like nothing else. The effort to deny the reality of our death is the mainspring of human activity including much of what we cannot sustain like the current militaristic healthcare system. Taking planetary consciousness seriously means whatever man does on this planet has to be done in the lived truth of the terror of creation, of the grotesque, of the rumble of panic underneath everything. In the near future we are going to expereince desolation of costal lands and the human suffering is beyond our comprehesion.
The urge to cosmic heroism is sacred and mysterious, and not to be neatly ordered and rationalized by science and secularism. No culture has gone farther than our own to deny individual mortality, and in its denial it is killing the planet. A spirituality that allows us to face our own mortality honestly without denial or terror contains seeds of the daily heroism necessary to preserve life on Earth. Instead of terror, a deeper spirituality would lead us to a place of gratitude and celebration. It would also energize us to act.
Will we be able to act in time available? Caught between complacency and despair it is time to leave these complexities behind us and get down to work.
Tenth, to create one Order of Earth that is inclusive, comprehensive, and interactive and brings forth the presencing of legitimacy in co-existence within the full spectrum and range of human thoughts and actions.
Eleventh, to carry out its mission as a non-denominational, non-sectarian, self-sustaining corporation that does not represent any specific religious, political, economic or social worldview or cosmology and is open to all.
Twelfth, to make contributions to organizations that qualify as exempt organizations under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code of the corresponding section of any future federal tax code.
This is the first draft of an explanation of the purposes declared in the Articles of Incorporation on May 3rd 2002, Colorado Non Profit. There are many views, circumstances and conditions that have not been expressed due to the author’s intent to clarify the larger purposes of The Order of Earth and focus on effective action that may develop from this initial invitational discourse Please feel free to respond with your assessments and thinking in this regard.
