About
I am an independent information professional providing information & research services to socially responsible organizations including: nonprofits, business, independent media and tribal organizations. You can view a listing for my business at www.aiip.org in the member directory. I am available to assist with any information or research need. I hold an MLIS (Masters in Library and Information Science) from Louisiana State University and have over 17 years experience as a professional librarian, news researcher and independent information professional.
I am interested in all aspects of social responsibility and social transformation. My key area of interest is promoting and expanding libraries and information services that support socially progressive causes. The power of information is terribly under-utilized by societal sectors most in need of access. Far too many information professionals, resources and services are invested in buttressing the status quo, rather than creating alternatives. Global library and information systems need to be transformed to support what is most needed and necessary to human and planetary well-being and survival.
