About

I currently work as a Refuge Manager of two relatively small National Wildlife Refuges ( Cabo Rojo and Laguna Cartagena) located on southwestern Puerto Rico and administered by the US Fish and Wildlife Service. For information on these two Refuges please visit ou home page at http://caribbean.fws.gov/ 

I'm interested on management of salt ponds for the benefit of migratory and resident shorebirds, the restoration of subtropical dry forest and freshwater wetlands, working with others to fulfill the Service's mission, and use of fire and/or any other appropriate means to control exotic plants and animals.

We have a small fire program focused mostly on fire prevention and suppression, to train employees from other federal agencies, state DNER employeess and local firefigters,  on wildland firefighting and related courses.  I can be reached at:
