About

I just returned from volunteering in Madagascar with WWF (www.panda.org) and I am very passionate about future work that incorporates conservation, geology, journalism, and human geography too.  I majored in politics, but this trip taught me my passions are in outdoor activities, research, and education too.

I would be delighted to connect with all those who have ever visited Madagascar and could provide me photos/insight regarding an education  project I am working on to spread information about the importance of protecting the endemic species that are endangered on this gorgeous island.  The island is referred to as "the red island" due the amount of soil's rich red coloring, and also the deforestation that causes the rivers to turn red during flood season.

My interests also lie in hygiene and sanitation and the means to provide latrines in areas where there is high population (such as the capital of Madagascar), but low access to latrines for the poor.  Every year during late August there is a conference dedicated to water called, World Water Week, in Sweden.  This year I hope to volunteer there as the President of Madagascar shall be a speaker, and the lectures and seminars are full of information regarding the future use of one of our most precious resources.

Si tu parle en francais, c'est bonne parce qu'il y a quelque articles  en francais de la region.  Merci.
