About
My experience lies in both private and non-profit sectors:
I have been active as an independent sustainability practitioner with companies, SMEs mainly, for the past 5 years. Main projects:
I have developed for ILO - International Labour Organization - a training programme for companies around “The Labour Dimension of CSR: from Principles to Practice”. This programme is part of the project “Sustainable Development through the Global Compact”.
I have created and developed a self-assessment questionnaire to verify and quantify compliance with workplace standards in supply chains according to SA 8000 standards, the SME code of conduct and ILO Conventions among other international norms. The questionnaire is now a commercialized on-line tool.
Since 2005 I have been carrying out a great number of social compliance audits for several companies in Europe.
Passionate about hosting meaningful conversations that lead to meaningful actions, in May 2006 I have co-founded the CSR Geneva Group – www.csrgeneva.org a network of people working on business and sustainability that counts today more than 300 members. We organize regularly conferences, informal network meetings and business breakfasts for discussion and exchange of good practice.
Previously, I have worked for the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), in eight different countries around the world and at th HQ in Geneva. I have also been an adult educator and freelance conference interpreter/translator based in Zurich for 8 years.
I hold a Master - MSc in Responsibility & Business Practice, Management School of the University of Bath, UK. I speak English, French, Italian, German, Swiss German and knowledge of Standard Arabic and Russian.
My vision is to promote systemic change and develop innovative solutions toward a just and sustainable world where effectiveness is in harmony with nature for many generations to come.
Specialties:
International experience. Expertise in sustainability & human right issues in supply chains. Experienced social compliance auditor in SMEs and MNEs. Communication and facilitation skills, organizational storytelling, systemic thinking.
My consultancy:
Convergence Durable is an independent management and training consultancy whose purpose is to engage organisations in integrating sustainable development, social justice and environmental protection into their activities. The goal is to develop together innovative solutions, from a systems perspective, in harmony with our ecosystem for many generations to come.
Convergence Durable adopts a sustainable principle-based approach within a whole-system perspective: a vision that considers the world as an integrated whole, rather than just a heap of separate parts. Instead of developing off-the-shelf solutions, Convergence Durable gains insights into the globality of your organisation, by personally understanding its linkages, interactions and by intervening at the root cause level of non-sustainable activities.
