About

Hi. I am an artistic director, composer, performer, and facilitator based in New Mexico.  I am also the co-founder of a small non-profit called Littleglobe Inc. (www.littleglobe.org) that does long-term interdisciplinary and generative creative arts collaborations with underserved communities. I have seen that this work produces a strong and lasting sense of community and an increased sense of individual and community wide sense of well-being and capacity.

While many people see art as a tool, my experience indicates that shared art making becomes a place where direct communication, inspiration, and sense of interconnectedness can be experienced and shared.  I come to this work from years as a teacher, facilitator, musician and performer.  I love this work because it illuminates connections, brings forth something beautiful, meaningful and honest. It is grassroots work and a form of community healing work that promotes a sense of possibility.  The nexus of the work is the cultivation of relationships-and this always takes time.

I am also a parent, partner, and member of a co-housing community in Santa Fe, New Mexico, where I am slowly learning about gardening, goats, chicken and conflict engagement work.

When you are old

 a poem by William Butler Yeats

When you are old and grey and full of sleep,
And nodding by the fire, take down this book,
And slowly read, and dream of the soft look
Your eyes had once, and of their shadows deep;

How many loved your moments of glad grace,
And loved your beauty with love false or true,
But one man loved the pilgrim Soul in you,
And loved the sorrows of your changing face;

And bending down beside the glowing bars,
Murmur, a little sadly, how Love fled
And paced upon the mountains overhead
And hid his face amid a crowd of stars.
