About
I offer caring and effective acupuncture, herbal medicine, and nutritional counseling for a wide variety of issues. My goal is to teach my patients health self-empowerment, balance and overall sustainability.
As part of a lifelong dedication to those caught in the web of imprisonment in America, I have worked for years doing Acupuncture in jails and related programs. I have also studied and taught Yang Style Tai Chi Chuan since 1984 with world - renowned master Benjamin Lo.
I am conscientiously dedicated to tailoring treatments to the needs of each patient, and showing them how to care for themselves. I see the healing work that I do as part of the struggle to create balance, justice and sustainability in our world.
I worked as an Acupuncturist at The Immune Enhancement Project for 7 years, specializing in HIV & Hepatitis. As the Clinical Director of IEP from 2001-2004 I did extensive community outreach and education on health care issues primarily to marginalized populations.
I began my studies at the California Institute of Herbal Studies in 1987 and graduated from Meiji College of Oriental Medicine in 1996. I was a member of the faculty of the Acupuncture & Integrative Medicine College of Berkeley, California.
