About
Mónica Carriço (Lisbon, 1978) is an architect, living and working in Beijing, China. She holds a master’s degree in Architecture Urban & Territorial Planning from Lisbon's Technical University (PT). From 2002 until 2006, Mónica practiced architecture in Amsterdam (NL) with One Architecture and SeARCH architects. In September 2006 she moved to Beijing (CN) to collaborate with People's Architecture [a non-profit cultural and educational organization based in New York]. Currently she is developing architecture|urban research and visual communication design within MovingCities. MovingCities is about understanding the role that architecture and urbanism are playing in shaping the future of the contemporary city.
