About
I am a union-affiliated mechanical contractor in Chicago and a transitional-organic vegetable farmer in Wisconsin. My husband also farms, teaches English, and is transitioning from a Covenant pastor to an Episcopal priest. He is a writer and a preacher.
I believe we need a "Great Turning" in our attitudes about what we value. The accumulation of money, power, and material goods must be realized as a dead end value. We must value life, sustainability, and community.
I believe there is a new underground revolution coming where individuals take back the power of commerce to support small, independent businesses and reject the mega-corporations, mega-churches, etc.
I believe the small, independent businesses will turn toward sustainable practices because of the demand from independent consumers.
I plan to be a part of the revolution.
I turned 60 this year, and we have three children and two grandsons, so far. I believe we have to work our hardest to recreate society or there will be no future for my grandsons.
