About
Marjorie was born in India where she spent her formative years. She has traveled extensively and learning about other cultures has been an important part of her life.
She is currently affiliated with the Green Century Institute which is proposing to develop an eco-city in the San Francisco Bay Area. Her work with GCI is focused on conducting research on identifying companies that have made a shift from the grey economy to the green economy. A city has many needs and by forging links with like minded companies the green movement can make an economic impact on a broader scale.
Marjorie is a student and practioner of Tibetan Buddhism in the Nyingma Lineage. She is also a grassroots activist and was an organizer for the Oaks Project that does trainings in democratic participation. She has also worked for the Green Party.
She has eighteen years of experience in the travel industry with clients that ranged from telecommunications giants like AT&T to small local businesses.
