I am an Artist and sculptor by training; grew up in Kenya, and came to the Caribbean, Jamaica, in '68, and Trinidad in '78. I founded and run a Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre, where I care for native wildlife. I have treated or rehabilitated, Red Howler monkeys and land snails, bats and Barn owls and most things in between, though the majority of the intake is avian. I am a member of several eNGO's locally and joined the Florida Wildlife Rehabilitators Association in 1997. I share my home with a grounded pelican and four stray dogs.
My current major concern is the rapid decline in wildlife populations and the precipitous loss of habitat to expanding urbanisation and industrial infrastructure driven by an oil economy which lacks adequate planning for the protection of its incredibly rich biodiversity.
