My career has spanned wilderness experiential education, community-based health promotion, technology development and management, non-profit administration at the managerial and executive level, business entrepreneurship, and extensive consulting with a primarily governmental and non-profit clientele. I am particularly interested in leveraging my skills and expertise to contribute to local, national, and global sustainability and green development initiatives.

Accomplished Administrator, Leader, Program Developer and Manager

  • Developed and implemented diverse funding strategies to grow non-profit operational budget from $45Kto $1,200,000 in five years.
  • Programs under my leadership have won statewide and national awards of recognition.
  • Expanded scope of services  and managed $2.3 million budget, supervised Directors of  Substance Abuse Prevention, Family Services, and Mental Health Services.

Skilled Grant Writer with unusually high success rate

  • Over $36 million in successful grant proposals in 10 years.
  • Raised $6.2 million to pioneer an educational technology program, led development team.
  • Top-scoring proposal for Drug Abuse Prevention grant from among 50+ applicants.

  • Created Client Information and Management/Program Evaluation software systems used by 50+ agencies in California and over 400 sites nationwide.
  • As outside consultant, planned, facilitated, and documented strategic planning processes for 20+ school districts, many non-profits, and the County of Tulare.
