Dear all,

It is with great joy and gratitude that I share the following.

To celebrate the World Day of Interconnectedness, people from 84 countries had indicated to join one or more of 48 different interconnectedness events ranging from physical gatherings and events, intention mediations to doing unexpected acts of kindness on a personal level.

Statistics of the website show that on 9 September alone 403000 hits were generated by 14200 unique visitors from 116 countries.
Isn’t this an incredible result without financial sponsoring? For me it shows a wave of consciousness.

We have been thinking how we can connect participants and facilitate you in sharing all the beautiful things that happened on this day and create a place to energize and inspire each other even further, going beyond LinkedIn functionality. As a result we have created a dedicated interconnectedness community: http://interconnectedness.ning.com/
It is a place for you to share your stories, experiences, video's, photographs of what happened on this magical day 09.09.09. We hope that you will share what you did on 9 September, what touched you most and if possible describe how you will continue to live interconnectedness. For inspiration to all.

Please use this new community to its full potential and continue to feed the shift from Illness to Wellness :o)

With love, joy, gratitude and a deep feeling of interconnectedness!

Hi all,
Just to give you some facts: so far 51 events are being offered in 18 countries starting in New Zealand.

For the global invitation 'all bells are ringing' an impressive video has been made. It touched my heart: http://www.human-treasures.nl/interconnectedness/Videoallbellsareringing.htm

And another one about the power of smile.... http://www.human-treasures.nl/interconnectedness/VideoThepowerofasmile.htm

You might want to share these with your friends?

Best wishes,
Leo

Dear all,

On August 10 the core of the core group met for the last time before 9 September (in principle) for the final preparations: Esther, Maresa, Marjolein, Petra and Leo. As always we enjoyed a warm and open atmosphere. We will continue to liaise bilaterally or in small skype meetings if and when desired.

Key developments

·         Although a world day of interconnectedness group has been created on XING for the purpose of the 999 wisdom sharing the key functionality differs too much from what we envisioned. Also the threshold to get started and requirements to moderate the group process are perceived as too demanding for the time available. Finally no enthusiasm nor willingness was found to promote this facility for the event. The last option, functionality on Skype, will be investigated.

·         The activity/invitation to send Reiki has been developed for the Netherlands and will be distributed both nationally and internationally

·         An invitation to all musicians has not been distributed by PlanetMusic. We will distribute it ourselves.

·         Barbara Rogoski who is writing a book ‘living your namaste’ has kindly offered to help us with some jobs

·         The Q-Search event and Karin Sorbi’s workshop will take place in Seats2Meet at Utrecht CS (from 13.00 pm). Drinks and snacks will be combined with attendees of other activities (18.00pm). In the evening a meeting on connecting leadership is facilitated.

·         BeTheChange mini-symposium will be open to 100 attendees max. The schedule (9.00 am to 12.00am) allows for a combination with other activities like the ones previously mentioned

·         So far our focus has been to invite people to host events. Now is the time to focus on promotion to attend the activities offered. Although it is not easy for working people to take a day off and attend there are different groups available like those self-employed, pensioned, studying or those without a job. All of these groups can benefit from the wealth of offerings at relatively low prices or even for free.

·         An answer to the question about technical solution for webcams per activity is pending

·         More clarity is required about the 1Mandala upload process such including timeframes, portraits, the extent to which individuals can be identified (certain group of children)

·         A checklist would be helpful for hosts of the events

·         The Day After we will write a memo giving a short overview of what happened during the events. Intention is to pay respect and gratitude to all hosts and participants. A synopsis will be published by the Albert Schweitzer foundation.

·         Contacts have been so deep during the past year or so that we cannot imagine not coming together in future.

With love and gratitude,

Leo Sonneveld

Dear President Obama,

On May 31st, Whitsunday, I sent you an invitation to inform you about the World Day of Interconnectedness on 9 September 2009. Your speech on June 4th, Cairo University, really underlines the same vision and intention.

The 09.09.09 initiative comprises a global 24 hour event with a focus and concentration on celebrating interconnectedness. Our goal is to create a world that works for all that lives. We believe this requires a paradigm shift globally. Your adopting this initiative is crucial to make this shift happen. We are confident you are working towards the same goal.

As far as we have been able to ascertain we have not received a reply .

Given your meeting with Prime Minister Jan Peter Balkenende of The Netherlands on July 14th I would like to ensure that you received our invitation in good order. The World Day of Interconnectedness can be seen as a unique strategic opportunity to unite at almost no cost. Isn't that an opportunity to embrace in the context of the financial crisis?

Please make sure 9 September 2009 will be a positive and historic day humanity will never forget.

Thank you very much for your leadership and commitment to a world that works for all,

Leo Sonneveld on behalf of Core Team World Day of Interconnectedness, The Netherlands

Any suggestions to get this on the agenda of Obama and Balkenende on 14 July?

Based on comments of Luis Cochofel the website has been enriched with 3 video's which you may find inspiring:

On the homepage you will find:
Musicians
make music you love most on 09.09.09 and touch everyone's heart (see video: Imagine)

Business
make a difference (see video 'entrepreneurs can change the world)

Schools
demonstrate that you believe in your student (see video 'do YOU believe in ME?)

Hoi Mieke,

Leuk dat je bent aangehaakt bij de group World Day of Interconnectedness. Ik ben hier nog niet zo actief, maar dat is een kwestie van tijd.

Hartelijke groet,

Leo
