About
I write the blog www.chasingcleanair.com and have a pr business www.gogreenpr.com to promote clean tech and environmental advocacy. I live in Los Angeles but I'd like to change that.
The past year and a half I've explored cleaner areas with less traffic where I may move. I'm still searching. If you have suggestions, I'd like to hear.
I'd like to live in a community where I can walk to town without breathing car exhaust, and where I'll find like minded people--intelligent, open-minded, diverse, dancing community, hiking nearby, water, too. Libraries, bookstores. Whole foods.
My ideal might include living in Los Angeles the less smoggy months, and somewhere greener and less populated in the Northwest the rest of the year.
Los Angeles offers traffic and smog and overpopulation. On the otherhand, our cultural diversity can't be beat, our creative community is tops, and nature is smiling all around us. Though our governor can't balance a budget, and plans to shut down my favorite hiking trails. He's an actor, good with lines, and, apparently, not used to thinking things through. He took away a DMV tax that would've given California billions to be used for the public good. Instead we have a major deficit, and cuts, cuts, cuts.
I'm considering seeking an easy-going travel companion. I'd like to explore more beautiful towns and National Parks in N.Calif, Oregon, Washington, and British Columbia. I'm open to clean air ideas.
I'd prefer to explore with someone strong enough to hike, bike, and be open to new adventures. My last trip I had a wonderful friend with me, who didn't hike.
I'm a fun-loving woman with humor, very outgoing, though enjoy quiet moments, too. I can travel without talking fifty minutes, and after that, a chatterbox. I work out daily: hike, walk, weights, yoga, dance. I find sustenance in friendships, nature, meditation, reading, and creative writing. I finished a novel, some screenplays and stage plays, too. (Who doesn't in L.A.?) I love to dance, travel, play piano, go to concerts, (especially symphony- Beethoven any day) and sing-- not that I'm good. I have a strong sense to protect the environment and animals, and speak out on behalf of those who have no voice.
I'm
educated in life, travels, and school. I have a B.A. in literature from UC San
Diego. I have a Master's in writing from USC. I'm self-employed in marketing,
and I write. And now I'm trying to break free from the L.A.
chains that bind me with a sense of familiarity in-between deal makers in Mercedes Benz and immigrant workers
in pick-up trucks, spewing black clouds and honking horns on the 405. I'm headed for fresh-breathable air and a better life-sustaining community.

People are like stained-glass windows.
They sparkle and shine when the sun is out,
But when the darkness sets in,
Their true beauty is revealed only if there is a light from within.
— Elizabeth Kübler-Ross
