About

Lena Levoshko-Viator, born in Settlement Progress, Far East, Russia, worked in Russian television and radio for over 14 years, having received her journalism degree at Far Eastern National University in 1992 in Vladivostok, Russia. Before joining her husband in the US, she was head of the news service at Russian Radio (in Komsomolsk-na-Amure) the largest radio network in the world, broadcast daily in more than 1,100 cities in Russia and other territories and with a weekly audience of over 20 million people.

Tom Viator is a native of Lafayette, Louisiana, USA. Tom grew up during what was the early formative period of the social justice and environmental movements of the 60’s and 70’s. He received a Bachelors of Science in Agriculture at the University of Louisiana in 1980 and went on to co-manage a 10 acre vegetable farm in southern Louisiana (New Iberia) in the early 80’s. He continued his education and received a Masters in International Business Management at the American Graduate School of International Management in 1991 in Glendale, Arizona.

Tom and Lena own a niche publishing company based out of Phoenix, Arizona that focuses on children’s educational materials and calendaring products. They share and care for a community organic garden with friends in Phoenix. Entrepreneurs at heart, they continue to pursue social and economic development projects that are in agreement with their life philosophy and vision, and are interested in a variety of issues related to social, economic and environmental justice with particular emphasis on the media.

The key to success is harnessing new media to capture imagination and interest and transform
understanding, values and knowledge. There are many arenas where one can view or make
short, sharp, engaging and powerful audio/visual communications. Most campaigning
organizations publish and promote sophisticated ideas that sometimes spread virus-like round
the planet. The low cost of disseminating messages with new media, in comparison with
traditional print-based and broadcast media, offers new opportunities for self and group
expression, giving voice to those who have for too long been silenced.

Focus Community Media !!!!!

With Regards !!!!!!
