After the hurricane in the gulf, our organization along with its partners built a green modular, affordable prototype to demonstrate that healthy homes could also be affordable homes.  This prototype was donated it to a local land trust in a low income African American community.  This house became the headquarters of the land trust and was called the Unity House.  That unity house has since become Unity Homes, Inc. operating as a not-for-profit.  Unity Homes, Inc. and has broken grown in Columbia, Mississippi for its modular home factory with the purpose of building green, healthy and affordable homes for people who were so tragically affected by the hurricane within a 150 mile radius.

The prototype green modular home demonstration project is just one of the many positive outcomes of Healthy Building Network.
