About
I am a Youth Leader and also President of The Ojai Foundation, a retreat center and educational service organization that shares indigenous wisdom and ways with young people including council, wilderness solitude practice, sweatlodge ceremony and more. We teach the way of council (ancient, universal tradition of sitting in circle and sharing our stories) to teachers, social workers, business people, and more. Our retreat center is a model of sustainable living, the "Beauty Way" and honoring all spiritual traditions. We have been off-the-grid for 30 years and have always aimed to walk lighly on the earth. We also support council programs in schools across the country including the Los Angeles Unified School District and have trained over 100 Arab and Jew peacemakers in the Holy Land in the practice of council - a valuable tool to use in their efforts.

Good to know your part of the group.
I love the Ojai Foundation I attended a strawbale workshop there. Had great fun learned a lot.
The WHOLEarth System is directly based on the principles of the Whole Earth folks, J. Baldwin and John Todd and of course Bucky.
I would like to find a way to connect and work together. I like to speak in public. |

Thanks for the invitation. Solitude, solace, silence and stillness are absoultely necessary especially for those of us on the grid.
In solace, the banter of birds, however unknowable, feels full of living...
