About
Guatemala is a
country rich in agriculture, history, culture, beauty, and
textiles, yet one of the poorer nations of the earth. Plagued by
oppression and poverty, many of the Mayans struggle in poverty.
Often times children don't go to school because parents can't
afford the fees and they need the children to help work in the
fields, helping to harvest produce and coffee for export or to sell
in the local open market.
Globally Minded Works exists
to help bridge the financial gap, providing student
sponsorships so
children can go to school. In addition,
Globally Minded Works provides
sponsorships for
teachers as their low salaries are often delayed. School
sponsorships are
another project we support as Guatemalan schools lack basic
resources and some villages don't even have a school.

Globally Minded is seeking sponsors for students, teachers and schools around Lake Atitlan in Guatemala. In addition, we are seeking donors for fuel efficient stoves and water filters for families in the communities where we work. We are a 501c3 tax exempt organization
