Two empty latte bowls left on a sunny patio table.

They smile at me, seeming satisfied that something special had been shared here,

in 2 pure simple lattes.

The unique residue of espresso lines both porcelain white bowls,

and within each bowl a shadow is cast by the setting sun.

The gentle breeze fills my lungs, I leave the bowls undisturbed and continue on, savouring the moment.

Later, when the moment is passed I notice them gone.
