A Coalition of Product Designers for the Other 90%

Not as designers alone, nor as firms or groups or even regions, can we design, develop and deliver all the products needed for the "Other 90%"--  those underserved, poor, developing, and emerging communities.  It takes collaboration, cooperation and a global network of creatives to rise together to the challenge.   Awareness:  Who needs us and what products ...learn more

About

I am the Associate Director of Earth Island Institute, and joined the Earth Island management team in October 2005.

At Earth Island we have nearly twenty-five years of growing environmental success!  2007 marks the 25th anniversary of Earth Island Institute and the vision that a nimble, streamlined organization can make possible the work of bold individuals with big ideas.  Earth Island was founded by the pioneering environmentalist David Brower and a cohort of bold visionaries in 1982. Today we continue our historic role in incubating and supporting the projects under our sponsorship, and fostering grassroots awareness and activism through our website and our award winning Earth Island Journal and we utilize environmental restoration as a key conservation strategy through our Restoration Initiatives

We also continue to grow environmental leadership through our New Leaders Initiative and our annual Brower Youth Awards.

Please visit Earth Island Institute (EII) on WiserEarth and please join us in growing envrionmental leadership.
