About
Kathleen Reich is program officer and leader of preschool grantmaking in the Children, Families, and Communities Program at the David and Lucile Packard Foundation. Her work focuses on advancing the Foundation’s goal of ensuring access to high-quality preschool for every 3- and 4-year old in California. Previously, Ms. Reich served as policy analyst/editor for The Future of Children journal at the Foundation. Before joining the Foundation in 2001, she was policy director at the Social Policy Action Network in Washington, DC, and she previously served as legislative assistant to U.S. Senator Dianne Feinstein, focusing on welfare, children’s, and environmental issues. She holds a B.A. from Yale University and a master’s degree from Harvard University, John F. Kennedy School of Government.
