Here is a link to my current garden in Santa Clara which I have been working on since Feb 08. http://www.flickr.com/photos/15762088@N07/sets/72157611928109597/
The backyard growing space is an old pool. The soil is pretty bad so I am trying to bring it back to life using permaculture principals. I have planted two cherry trees, two apples, a mandarin, a grapefruit, a late orange to add to the existing plum and nectarine trees. We also have blackberries that were already there but are now raised on a platform. The edibles also include artichoke, strawberries, pomegranite, blueberries and various herbs. The california natives include salvias, chaparrel currants, ceanothes, huecheras, snowberries, wild strawberries, and oaks. I hope to have enough harvest this year to share with my neighbors all of whom are renters in apartments without any or with very little land.
