About
Kate Stephenson has a BA in Anthropology, Environmental Science, and the Growth and Structure of Cities from Haverford College and an MS in Management from Antioch University New England.
She is the Executive Director at the Yestermorrow Design/Build School in Warren, Vermont. In her role at Yestermorrow, a school dedicated to teaching students of all ages and backgrounds the hands-on skills to sustainably design and build their homes and communities, Kate is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the school, including financial management, board relations, personnel, website design and maintenance, and supervising the internship program, among many, many other things that come along with leading a small non-profit organization. http://www.yestermorrow.org/. Kate brings to Yestermorrow experience planning and facilitating workshops on sustainability education, restoring historic gardens, researching bioenergy projects in developing countries, and promoting land conservation. Her interests include intentional communities, promoting and eating local foods, preserving rural landscapes, baking, historic preservation and frolicking in the snow.
Kate is a co-founder of the Mad River Valley Localvore Project. Our mission is: Celebrating and supporting local food in the Mad River Valley– those who eat it and those who grow it – through education, community connections and collective wisdom.
She is a Senior Fellow of the Environmental Leadership Program ELP and serves as the Residential Green Building Advocate for the state of Vermont (a volunteer position with the U.S. Green Building Council USGBC).

Dear Sir/Madam,
I hereby introduce to you“Advocacy Through Filming and Screening Uganda” (AFSU) a Non-profit making, Non-partisan and interdenominational Charity Organization.
This organization is duly registered with the Non- Governmental Organization Board of Uganda by ministry of internal affairs. The organization has its Headquarters in Uganda and its registered office is on plot. 602 along Rubaga Road Kampala.
The inception of AFSU is to conduct and carryout activities that address needs for Children, Women, and Youth. This is done with focus on broad thematic areas of Health, HIV/AIDS, water and sanitation, Education, Environment protection, Climate Change, agriculture through use of Educative short films, Workshops, Consultancies, Participatory research, Trainings, Development of training materials and tools, sensitizing communities and Music, Dance and Drama. Special attention is to raise voices of the marginalized communities through advocacy activities.
The main purpose of this communication is to extend our invitation to your organization members and staff to pay a visit to our office and community projects, to enable us share knowledge, experiences and learn more from each other.
We are looking forward to welcome you here and continue working closely with your office as partners in any possible way for our community projects in Uganda.
