About

23 March 2009

I am an Urban / Restoration Ecologist and Environmental Horticulturist

I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Horticulture / Urban Forestry with a minor in Environmental Science and Resource Management from the College of Forest Resources at the University of Washington, in Seattle.

Integrated Pest Management (IPM), plant protection and plant pathology are amongst my passions.

I grew up in the agriculture and timber industry around Kalispell, Montana, US.

I live in Seattle, Washington, US.

I am a natural born geek, and there isn't anything that I do that cannot be done on my computer.  Ok, that's not true, but I'm a geek, and it sounds cool enough.  ::laughing::

My interests and experience are wildly broad and diverse, yet the underpinning element in all of them is that they are systems that I can model in my head. Systems that I can see and understand and from which I can get expected (and sometimes unexpected) results. I look forward to the unexpected and to change.

I continue working on collating the entirety of my Web endeavors (writing, Websites, etc.).

My online resumé and "portfolio" of sorts...

My photography...

My Linked In profile...

King County Soil Maps (I digitized them and created a Website for the collection)

Tent caterpillar research

  • Phase 1 (completed) - Write-up
  • Phase 2 (pending next emergence)
